MADISON, S.D. (Jan. 23, 2019)—The Dakota State University Lady T's basketball team (3-17 overall record, 2-5 NSAA conference record) plays the same opponents from last weekend, kicking off the second-half portion of the North Star Athletic Association conference schedule this weekend.
Viterbo (Wis.) (7-13 overall record, 0-7 NSAA) plays back-to-back games versus the Lady T's on Friday evening. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m. at R.W. Beggs Gymnasium (900 Viterbo Drive) on the campus of Viterbo. This game will feature as the #NorthStarStrong H8atlhy Minds 'Green Game', raising awareness on mental health. Players will be supporting green H8althy Minds warm-up shirts, with #NorthStarStrong on the back.
The Lady T's then travel to Hanson Fieldhouse (106 S 6th Street) in Forest City, Iowa on Saturday afternoon to take on Waldorf (Iowa) (9-9 overall record, 4-3 NSAA conference record). The game is set to tip-off at 3 p.m.
Dakota State split a pair of games last weekend at DSU Fieldhouse. The Lady T's keep the V-Hawks winless in NSAA conference games, cruising to an 80-68 victory on Jan. 19. The Warriors defeated the Lady T's in a high close tightly contest on Jan. 20 by the score of 87-83. The game featured 12 lead changes and eight ties, where the Warriors closed the game with an 8-2 run.
Next Up: Dakota State returns back home for their final regular-season home contests at DSU Fieldhouse. The Lady T's host Mayville State (N.D.) in the 'Ag Ball' game at 5:30 p.m. DSU hosts Valley City State (N.D.) Saturday afternoon in the final regular-season home finale at 3 p.m.
