[Men's Basketball] Kraemer earns third KCAC Men's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week nod
For a third time this season, Kansas Wesleyan's Marquis Kraemer (SO/Aurora, Colo.) has been named as the KCAC Men's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week. He was chosen for his efforts during two games last week for the Coyotes. The KCAC Player of the Week program is administered by the conference sports information directors.
Kraemer was again big on the defensive side of the ball for the Coyotes in a pair of wins over Sterling and McPherson. Against Sterling, he guarded Keyshawn McMahon and held him to only 2 points in 1-of-7 shooting and forced him into 4 turnovers. On Saturday he really excelled, guarding Chamaje Barideaux from McPherson, holding him to 2 points on 1-of-10 shooting, and forced him into 3 turnovers. Offensively he also averaged 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game helping KWU go 2-0 on the week.
Wesleyan is on the road twice this week, at Avila on Thursday and at Saint Mary on Saturday.
