Warriors vs. Mavs: Steve Kerr says Luka Doncic is an All-Star
The Warriors face Luka Doncic, Mavs today at 4 p.m.
For reasons I will never understand, people really thought that Luka Doncic would come to the NBA and be trash.
Sadly, for some people in Phoenix, Sacramento, and Atlanta, Doncic has been decidedly not trash. In fact, he has been quite good for the Dallas Mavericks this season — good enough to be worthy of All-Star votes.
In the latest All-Star voting returns, Doncic was second among Western Conference frontcourt players with 2.2 million votes — that’s more than Kevin Durant and Draymond Green combined.

Obviously, that was bound to draw the ire of some folks around DubNation — especially Durant Stans — but there’s little question that Doncic deserves all the attention he’s getting.
And you can count Warriors coach Steve Kerr among those who are impressed by the rookie’s strong start to his NBA career, as he discussed with media yesterday.

“He’s a brilliant player,” Kerr told reporters. “I think he’s already an All-Star. I don’t know how the votes will shake out, but he looks like an All-Star player to me.”
