Shaun Livingston is out with knee soreness

The veteran will not be available for the Warriors game against the Knicks on Tuesday.

Shaun Livingston will not play for the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday when they host the New York Knicks. The veteran guard is dealing with soreness in his left knee, and will not suit up for the Dubs.

The 33-year old exited Saturday’s win against the Sacramento Kings after playing fewer than four minutes, after experiencing pain in the knee. Livingston has dealt with a few injury issues this year, and Tuesday’s game will mark the 11th contest that he’s missed this season.

Golden State is, of course, being extremely cautious with injuries this year. There’s simply no reason to rush anyone back from physical ailments, since it’s only the halfway point of the season, and this team is playing for wins in June, not January.

Livingston is in his 15th season, and fifth with the Warriors. He’s averaging 4.4 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game this year, while shooting 45.0% from the field.
