[Men's Basketball] Point Men's Basketball Enters Break with Four Consecutive Wins; 80-76 over Thomas
WEST POINT, Ga. – Point University (4-11), coached by Darryl Slack (Third season), came back from 11 points down with 4:13 left in the first half and took a 57-46 lead with 12:59 left in the second half and held on for an 80-76 non-conference men's basketball victory over Thomas University (7-5), which received votes in the current NAIA National Top 25 Coaches' poll. The Skyhawks won for the fourth time in the last 10 days just before beginning its 18-day semester and Christmas break. Point also gained a measure of revenge against the NightHawks which edged Point, 80-78, in the first game of the season, Oct. 26. After its Christmas break, Point (2-6 AAC) returns to Appalachian Athletic Conference action with home games against St. Andrews University (4-9; 3-4 AAC), Wed., Jan. 2, at 7:30 p.m. and Milligan College (7-5; 3-4 AAC), Sat., Jan. 5, at 4 p.m., in West Point Park Gym.
