Draymond Green is aiming to return next week
Golden State’s defensive ace is almost back on the court.
The Golden State Warriors sure do miss Draymond Green. The team is reeling a little bit without arguably the league’s top defensive player; they sport a defensive rating that is 18th in the league, after finishing the last four years first, sixth, second, and 11th, respectively.
Thankfully, Green should be back soon. Before Tuesday’s victory against the Cleveland Cavaliers, coach Steve Kerr said, “I think there’s a good chance he’ll play early next week. . . Maybe the first [game]. If not the first one, the second one. We’d be aiming for one of those two.”

“He had another good day today,” Kerr responded, when asked about Green’s progress. “He’s really making strides, so we’re excited about his progress.”
Kerr reiterated that Green is already ruled out of Friday’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks, meaning that he will have missed at least 14 games due to his sprained toe. If Kerr is right that Green plays early next week, that would mean we see him on Monday, December 10 against the Minnesota Timberwolves, or on Wednesday, December 12 against the Toronto Raptors.
