NC State’s OT win over UNC capped off with END ZONE BRAWL
Things got chippy in Chapel Hill!
It’s Rivalry Week, and no matter how good or bad your team is, the last week of the season is typically a heated affair. Such was the case during Saturday’s NC State-UNC game in Chapel Hill. The game went into overtime, as the Wolfpack pulled out a 34-28 victory in overtime.
After NC State running back Reggie Gallaspy II scored on a one-yard touchdown run, things got extra chippy in the end zone:
NC State & UNC love us so much they not only went to OT but then got into a brawl after the game just to give us a few more minutes of Raycom Sports. pic.twitter.com/cTDHb71dyk

It’s unclear who actually initiated the fighting, but it went on for a good bit before coaches could intervene.
This isn’t exactly the first time we’ve seen something like this happen in this rivalry. Two years ago, the last time this game was in Chapel Hill, we had some chippiness after a play:
As for what either head coach said about what happened after the game, here’s what UNC head coach Larry Fedora said:
"There was no fight. Not to my knowledge."

"What would you call it?"
"Their team was celebrating and our team was celebrating."
"What was your team celebrating?"
"My team wasn't celebrating. Their team was celebrating in our end zone....But there wasn't any fight."
LOL, sure, coach!
Saturday’s Wolfpack victory makes it three straight wins for head coach Dave Doeren over Fedora’s Tar Heels. With the loss, UNC dropped to 2-9 on the season, and Fedora getting fired looks even more likely after the loss.
