Injury Updates: Draymond Green and Alfonzo McKinnie still out, Steph Curry will rest for the week
Golden State will begin their homestand with a shortage of players.
The Golden State Warriors mercifully have a homestand this week, with all three of their games coming at Oracle Arena. They’ll try to right the ship after a disastrous past week that saw the team go 1-4 while having to deal with a teammate altercation.
And, once again, they’ll be tasked with getting things figured out while working with a shortened roster. The Warriors next play on Wednesday, November 21, against the Oklahoma City Thunder, and they’ll be without Draymond Green and Alfonzo McKinnie, who will both miss their third straight game.
The team announced at their Tuesday practice that neither player will be playing.

That’s a big hit for a team that is currently struggling on both ends of the court.
Like the rest of the NBA, the Warriors will be off on Thursday for Thanksgiving, but then they’ll be back on the court on Friday evening against the Portland Trail Blazers. There’s a chance one or both of Green and McKinnie could return then.
Golden State also gave an update on Steph Curry, who is set to be re-evaluated on Saturday, and there’s good news and bad news. The good news is that the team seems pleased with the way Curry is healing from his strained groin. The bad news is that they’re already ruling him out for that day’s game, which comes against the Sacramento Kings.
Steve Kerr said that while Stephen Curry will be re-evaluated Saturday, he will NOT play against the Kings. Kerr said Curry will not have an adequate amount of practice time in order to be back.

Kerr said Curry “has gotten a lot of work on the court” and is “feeling a lot better.” Added that he’s hopeful Curry can return in the “not-so-distant future.”

While Curry will need to be cleared by doctors before he can partake in full practices, he has been getting in work at the facility, which is a sight that makes everyone happy.

It’s been an injury-plagued season so far for Golden State. Through just 18 games, Shaun Livingston has missed nine games, Curry has missed six, Green has missed five, Andre Iguodala has missed three, and McKinnie has missed two.
It’s safe to say they’re ready for some health.
