Welp, the Sox are in the World Series so here’s BC’s Friday night crowd
Completely understandable, tbh.
It’s Friday night in Boston, and the city is pretty busy in terms of sporting events that are happening. The Boston Red Sox, up 2-0 in the World Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers, are playing game three on the road in LA. On the same night, the Boston College Eagles are playing at home against the Miami Hurricanes.
The turnout at Alumni Stadium is, well, as expected on the same night as a home World Series game in Boston:

I know a lot of folks might still be tailgating, but, uh, I think quite a few others might be staying in to watch their Red Sox up here in Boston. Alumni Stadium 10 minutes before kick... pic.twitter.com/lEjbUbJ3Hi

The crowd filled out at least at the lower level a lot more by the time the game got underway, though:
The nosebleeds are a little on the thin side:
Look, I’m not bashing BC fans at all here — it’s no secret that either going to or watching a World Series game is a little more appealing than going to a home game against Miami. But kudos to the fans who showed up to show their support for the 5-2 Eagles.
Friday night is also the annual Red Bandana game that honors 9/11 hero and BC alumnus Welles Remy Crowther.
Have fun tonight, Boston sports fans!
