Houston got away with throwing *2* forward passes on 1 play

Stevenson’s magic trick needs to be recognized for years to come.

If Houston wide receiver Marquez Stevenson never throws another pass, he should finish his career with 100 percent completion percentage.

But it is now, dear reader, where I must tell you that he succeeded on one of the most intentionally hilarious football plays in recent memory.

Stevenson crossed the line of scrimmage then ran backward and threw another forward pass after catching an initial pass already across the line of scrimmage. That makes this play illegal on two counts, and even funnier that the refs just flat out missed it.

Now, the NCAA record books have a minimum of 700 passes required to be considered for the all-time list in completion percentage, but I believe this needs to be amended. As a footballing nation, we’re just going to move past this play and forget it existed. That’s a shame, because the level of ingenuity and officiating incompetence should be preserved for future generations.
