Huge fight erupts at joint Jets-Washington practice

The co-practice turned bad on Sunday.

Things got out of hand on Sunday as a co-practice between the Jets and Washington erupted into a huge fight on the practice field.

The sides exchanged words after running back Chris Thompson was “tackled” on the sideline and took at extra small shove when he was out of bounds. It’s unclear from the video whether this is what set off the fight, but the brawl was big.

It was a chippy day in general between the teams, who play on Thursday night as part of the preseason. Two fights broke out during the practice according to reports, before a torrential rainstorm shut things down.

It’s probably a good thing practice got halted. Now they can save the fireworks for ... the preseason? Guys, what are you even doing?
