Senegal is having so much fun competing at the World Cup
So good!
The World Cup naturally breeds intense anxiety for countries who are expected to do well at the tournament, but then there’s teams like Senegal who are just enjoying every single second they get to compete in Russia.

This was Senegal’s warm-up ahead of facing Japan on Sunday, and even though they were game-ready, there was time for a little fun as well. It shows on the pitch too, with Senegal playing so loose and with so much joy. Compare that to Argentina, who looked so stiff in their first two games thanks (in part) to their weight of a country on their shoulders.
Or look at Panama. They lost 6-1 to England on Sunday, an absolutely beat down, but were celebrating in the streets back home at their first World Cup goal.
