Chris Paul will not play in Game 7

0

The Rockets will be without their star point guard.

When all is said and done, the 2018 Western Conference Finals will be remembered for some terrific basketball, and a high-intensity clash of great teams. Unfortunately, the final game of the series will be determined with a few key players missing.

Earlier in the day, the Golden State Warriors ruled Andre Iguodala out of Game 7 due to a knee contusion. It marks the fourth consecutive game that he’ll be sidelined for.

And now the Houston Rockets are following suit, as star point guard Chris Paul is officially out as well.

Paul injured his hamstring on an awkward shot attempt in the final minute of Game 5, and missed Saturday’s Game 6. It seemed highly unlikely that he would play, given how slow hamstrings heal, so the news is not surprising.

Still, it’s a huge bummer for both teams, and NBA fans in general. But even without Paul and Iguodala, Game 7 should be an epic game.
