Klay Thompson leaves Game 2 after tweaking knee

0

Hopefully it’s only minor.

At this point, it’s starting to seem like the only thing that can stop the Golden State Warriors is an injury. Hopefully that’s not in the process of happening. Already down Andre Iguodala, who suffered a knee contusion in Game 3, Golden State lost another player during Game 2.

Shooting guard Klay Thompson exited the game after appearing to tweak his knee. Thompson left the game on his own power, which is great news, but also headed straight to the tunnel with Chelsea Lane. Thankfully, the Warriors cleared him to return.

The team officially ruled the injury as a left knee strain, and Thompson was ready to return to action.

Still, Iguodala’s knee injury didn’t appear notable until the day after the game, when the contusion swelled up. When a player tweaks something like a knee, there’s always a chance that there are delayed effects. Here’s hoping that Klay is just fine, and the Warriors can stay at or near full strength.
