Primetime TV schedule for the Olympics on Thursday
Here’s what to watch at the Winter Olympics on Thursday.
Just two medal events for the 2018 Winter Olympics will take place in primetime Thursday evening, but some important earlier rounds of some of the biggest sports will be happening. The programming block on NBC, beginning at 8 p.m. ET and running for about three hours will include the beginning of the men’s solo figure skating, with Nathan Chen front and center in the short program.
Live streaming of said block can also be had via NBC Olympics and FuboTV.
In addition to the beginning of that figure skating competition, coverage will also bounce around between the women’s snowboard cross and men’s alpine skiing super-G finals. The women’s snowboard cross will consist of qualifying heats, quarterfinals, semifinals, and a “small final,” followed by the “big final” for the medals.
The estimated time for that is 10:56 p.m., right near the end of the programming block, while the super-G competition will begin at 9 p.m. It’s also listed that the men’s skeleton runs three and four will be part of the block.
Those begin at 7:30 p.m., so some of it may be via tape delay, but there are multiple big-name Americans in the event, including Matt Antoine, a 2014 bronze medalist, and John Daly. In the snowboard cross, Lindsey Jacobellis of Team USA is the one to watch.
