Cleveland Cavaliers at Boston Celtics player grades

0

Who are these new Cavaliers?

Just like everyone expected, the new-look Cavaliers cruise past the Celtics on the road.

LeBron James: A

LeBron was a team-high plus-23 and almost notched another triple-double in 27 minutes.

George Hill: A-

Hill’s tremendous defensive effort along with his three-point shooting is something the Cavaliers have missed all year at the point guard position.

Tristan Thompson: B+

Thompson’s energy on the glass and defensive end of the floor was as good as it’s been since his return from injury.

J.R. Smith: A

Smith looked rejuvenated on the floor, going 6-7 from the floor and even blocking two shots.

Cedi Osman: B+

Another energetic performance on both ends by the rookie and it would’ve been an A- if he doesn’t blow the wide-open dunk.

Jordan Clarkson: A+

The former Laker couldn’t have dreamed of a better debut. Put that Clarkson three-point celebration on loop, too.

Rodney Hood: A+

Hood was displaying his plethora of skills, scoring at the rim, mid-range and from beyond the arc.

Kyle Korver: B-

After scoring 30 points on Friday night, Korver seemed pretty invisible against the Celtics.

Larry Nance Jr.: B

In his debut for his hometown Cavaliers, Nance Jr. had a few dunks and showed solid effort on defense.

Jeff Green: B

Green was fine in this one, using his athleticism to find his way to the rim in transition when LeBron wasn’t on the floor.
