[Men's Basketball] Brescia tops Point Park
The Brescia University Men's Basketball Team defeated Point Park on Sunday 86-67 in Pittsburgh. The Bearcats were led by Jr. Dillon Geralds with 22 points and 9 rebounds followed by Kayode Daboiku adding 18 points and 12 rebounds and Tavon Johnson adding 17 points. Brescia lead 41-27 at half and had a 29-7 run in the first half into the second half. Brescia held Point Park to 38.7% shooting from the field and 15% from 3 point land. "Defensively we needed this type of effort. We were much more active and did a good job on the boards. I thought Jordan Cooper Liver and Damontae Barnhill did a great job on Daniel King their top scorer." stated Head Coach Brian Skortz. "We need to continue to work defensively and on Tuesday it will be a huge test with IU East coming into the den." added Coach Skortz Gametime Tuesday is 7:30pm with National Powerhouse IU-East coming to Owensboro.
