Kyle Kuzma to Kobe Bryant: “Thank you for being you.”
Nice gesture, rook.
Kobe Bryant means so much to so many basketball players still in the NBA. Count Kyle Kuzma as part of that group.
Kuzma tweeted out a graphic showing his appreciation for Bryant ahead of Monday night’s game and the Laker legend’s jersey retirement ceremony.

“Thank you for showing us how to play the game fearlessly. Thank you for creating the Mamba Mentality. Thank you for showing us that the game is more mental than physical. Thank you for being you. There will never be another,” the graphic said.
Bryant seems to be a mentor for Kuzma. The two went to dinner earlier this season and, after, Kuzma said he was “in awe” of Bryant during the meeting as the two chomped on some steaks.
It’s nice to see Bryant still playing a role with the organization — even if it’s unofficial — and talking to their rookies. Hopefully, whatever advice Bryant is leaving with Kuzma helps him prosper.
