[Women's Soccer] Former Women's Soccer Players Earn Honors

Two former TJC Apache women's soccer stars were honored for their play at their respective four-year instituitions, as each was named to their All-Region teams by the United Soccer Coaches Association.

Senior defender Kennedy Rose from SFA was named to the All-Region Second Team , while junior Lamar University forward Kelso Peskin was also named All-Region Second Team.

Rose's contributions on the team were two-fold, as she became a veritable aerial threat for the Ladyjacks on offensive set pieces, racking up two goals and an assist, while also filling the role of SFA's most physical and determined on-ball defender throughout the season. Her stalwart efforts as a defensive linchpin helped the Ladyjacks post the Southland's top defense, allowing the fewest goals (8), the smallest goals-against-average (.72) and the second most shutouts (6). For her efforts, Rose was named as an All-Conference Honorable Mention.

Peskin led LU in scoring this season with 27 points on eight goals and a school-record 11 assists. Peskin was a first-team All-Southland Conference selection.
