Manny Camper likely to make Siena basketball debut on Wednesday

Siena freshman forward Manny Camper is likely to make his college debut on national television on Wednesday, after it looked more than once like he wouldn't even play this season.

He missed summer workouts with a knee injury that turned out to be not as serious as initially feared. Even then, Saints head coach Jimmy Patsos said he planned on redshirting Camper.

So much for that plan. Camper appears to be ready for action off the bench when Siena (2-5) visits Louisville (4-2) in the first game of the Gotham Classic on ESPN2.

"It would be a great opportunity for me to just show my skills and just play hard every minute, any chance I get,'' Camper said.
