[Women's Basketball] Lions Ranked #1 for 42nd Time in Program History
KANSAS CITY - The second NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Poll was released Tuesday and it saw the Lions climb to the first overall spot behind their 7-0 record to begin the year. Vanguard defeated two ranked teams at the Jackson Rotary Classic and has won their last two games by an average of 76 points and allowed only 35.5 during that span. This allowed them to jump from fourth to the top billing. Leading the charge is Amber Alexander who not only won Golden State Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the third time of her career, but she also was named NAIA Player of the Week as well.
