[FRND] WBB Falcons Check in at No. 21 in NAIA Top 25 Coaches' Poll; MBB Falcons Receive Votes
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Friends University Women's Basketball Falcons are ranked No. 21 in the first edition of the NAIA Division II Coaches' Top 25 poll, while the Men's Basketball Falcons have received votes in their Top 25 poll, the organization released today (Nov. 28).
The WBB Falcons and MBB Falcons are each 5-3 overall and 3-0 in the KCAC following wins over Oklahoma Wesleyan University last Tuesday night (Nov. 21).
Defense has been a key the each squad's strong start, as Falcons' senior guard Yowana Posey was named the KCAC Defensive Player of the Week yesterday (Nov. 27), with junior guard/forward Jordan Murdock securing the same award on the men's side.
Both squads will be back in action tomorrow night (Nov. 29) at Bethany College. The women will tip off at 6 pm, followed by the men at 8 pm in Lindsborg, Kan.
