Carmelo Anthony got in a dig at the Knicks during this interview

“You watch the last couple seasons?”

Even with Carmelo Anthony in Oklahoma City, he still cannot forget about his playing days with the New York Knicks. Anthony was reminded of his time in New York on Tuesday afternoon when a reporter asked him if he’d ever played on an underperforming team.

“You watch the last couple seasons?” Anthony said in response to the reporter. “Yeah. There goes your answer.”

Anthony later answered the question seriously, saying he didn’t have the talent to achieve at a high level in New York. But at the same time? This is funny. Just look at Melo’s face when he answered the question.

That’s the “man, here we go again” look. That’s the same look you give your significant other when you ask them what they want for dinner and they respond, “I don’t know. What do you want for dinner?” Instead of another person, it’s the Knicks for Anthony.

And it’s not like he was trying to embarrass the reporter — he also got a good laugh out of it himself. It’s just that those memories are still fresh. Did you see how quickly he answered that question? That’s how you know. It’s like he had a flashback of this.

Hopefully the Thunder can turn it around at some point and Anthony can contribute in a major way. If not? At least we might get a few more answers from Anthony like this one.
