This Wisconsin fumble return TD on Iowa is somehow completely clean, and I’m amazed
Iowa’s offense: not doing great!
This Wisconsin fumble return touchdown against Iowa is clean as a whistle, which is a sort of incredible thing given the mass of bodies around the play:
The snap to Iowa quarterback Nathan Stanley came before he expected it, and the ball fell loose. That’s a pretty significant gathering of humanity around the football, and there are a lot of Hawkeyes falling near it. But it really does appear that none of them ever had control of it when they were on the ground. The only guy to secure it was Wisconsin’s Leon Jacobs, who was not on the ground and ran it home.
This has been an extremely Big Ten football game with three defensive touchdowns and very little in the way of offensive excitement. As I sit here publishing this blog post, the Hawkeyes have way more yards on their two interception return touchdowns than their offense does all afternoon, in the third quarter (23 yards, total).
The Hawkeyes scored 55 points on Ohio State just one week ago. Lol.
