Raptors vs. Wizards Game Thread: Hello from home
The Raptors are back in Toronto finally to take on the Wall-less Wizards. Let’s watch.
The Raptors went 3-3 on their west coast road trip, and it is now out of the way. There will be no more six-game west coast road trips. May they rest in peace and never be spoken of again.
The Wizards are in Toronto to take on the Raptors, and, as you’ll recall, we don’t much like the Wizards. Many teams in the NBA don’t seem to like the Wizards, to be honest (though the Raptors will always have the memory of the 2015 playoffs to fire them up.) I don’t know if it’s Kelly Oubre’s insane confidence that sets teams off, or Markieff Morris looking for a fight, or just the in-your-face blazing talent of John Wall — there’s something about this Washington team.
In any case, one of those things will not be a factor tonight: Wall is definitely out for the night after hurting his shoulder in Friday night’s game against the Cavaliers. Tim Frazier will take his place (and he’s also dealing with a sore wrist).
That’s the story right now. Will the Raptors return home looking lethargic (as is coach Dwane Casey’s concern) or will they take care of business at home? Let’s watch.
Here’s our full preview of Raptors-Wizards.
