How bad are things at Nebraska? Well, they’ve got Larry The Cable Guy ranting on Twitter

An upset loss to NIU will do that.

Saturday was not a great day for Nebraska football. Quarterback Tanner Lee threw not one, but two pick-sixes, and the Cornhuskers lost to Northern Illinois. Nebraska had never lost to a MAC team before.

With a struggling defense and now an 1-2 record, Nebraska fans were justifiably not thrilled, and some decided to vent their frustrations online.

That included one of Nebraska’s most famous fans, Larry The Cable Guy. And boy, does he have some thoughts on the state of Nebraska football. Several thoughts, really.

Larry, (whose real name is Daniel Whitney), is from Nebraska and started his career in the state.

Many Nebraska fans were upset to learn that their traditional game on Black Friday would vanish in future Big Ten schedules, a decision that Nebraska’s AD says isn’t set in stone. But to follow that up with a gut punch of an upset, combined with simmering resentment over the program’s inability to climb over the 9-4 ceiling established by Bo Pelini. If Nebraska fans are upset, why wouldn’t Larry be mad too?

We already know that when Nebraska fans get upset, they’re not afraid to fire off some opinions online. We’ll see if they can get their ship turned around this season.
