Lionel Messi hat trick reminds us that it’s not all doom and gloom at Barcelona
The best player in the world still wears Blaugrana and plays at Camp Nou.
Some Barcelona fans are currently in the process of ousting the club president after a disappointing summer transfer window, but that doesn’t mean everything’s falling apart at Camp Nou. Barca still has Lionel Messi, after all, and he’s probably still the best player in the world. On Sunday, he carried his team with a hat trick against Espanyol.
Messi’s first goal looked offside, and his second came by way of a deflected assist, but there was nothing to discredit him for on his third. This is just a stunning piece of play between Messi and Luis Suárez to seal Barca’s victory.

There’s a lot of turmoil behind the scenes at Barcelona right now, and it might not have nearly as much talent as rivals Real Madrid. But it’s worth remembering that despite all the doom and gloom, Barcelona still has Messi. As long as he’s still wearing the Blaugrana shirt, Barca has a chance to do something special in every game.
