Fear the Links: What one scout thinks of the Cavs’ offseason moves

0

That and more in today’s links.

Happy Saturday, everyone. Here are today’s links.

ICYMI from Fear the Sword: Cedi Osman shined as Turkey fell to Russia, Kyrie praised LeBron, but noted that they haven’t talked, Isaiah Thomas will begin working out with the Cavs’ medical staff on Monday, LeBron’s best sneakers, ranked and why Thomas’ fit against the Warriors could be an issue.

At Bleacher Report, Greg Swartz talked to an NBA scout about the Cavs’ offseason moves and how they change the team. The line I think will get the most attention: “A 6'8" Matthew Dellavedova is a real good comparison.” Yes, this is about Osman.

At SB Nation NBA, Mike Prada wrote about what would have happened if the NBA had soccer’s crazy transfer rules. I, for one, am not sure anyone could have handled it.

At Stars and Stripes FC, Cleveland Parker runs through what we learned from that weird USMNT performance last night. But to take the edge off, SI’s Grant Wahl wrote about how Christian Pulisic is still on his way to mainstream superstardom in the U.S.

At The Athletic, Danny Leroux runs through what the Warriors bench might look like next season. In a way, the Cavs are a Westeroi house trying to get their part of the realm in order while the Warriors wights loom as the inevitable threat.

Lastly, the WSJ’s Jason Gay got high and wrote about Mayeather-McGregor.
