Keon Broxton robbed the Cardinals of a go-ahead home run with this amazing catch

0

Not today, Cardinals. Not today.

After being down 6-3 to the Brewers late in the game, the Cardinals managed to claw back to 6-5 with a chance to win it if they could pull together a few runs in the ninth inning.

They almost did too, with what looked like a sure two-run go-ahead home run from Randal Grichuk in the top of the ninth, until Keon Broxton stepped in to make sure that didn’t happen.

Broxton leapt to make an amazing grab over the wall to end the game, ending the Cards’ hopes of sending the game to the bottom of the inning.

The most entertaining part of this Broxton catch, besides the actual catch I guess, is the way he hesitates for what seems like forever before he actually jumped to make the catch. That home run was never happening in his eyes, not a chance.

He was in position, waiting patiently, and ready to pounce whenever that ball finally traveled South enough for him to nab it.

Broxton’s fellow Brewers’ reactions say it all. Not today, Cardinals. Not today.
