Breanna Stewart’s outrageous childhood list of basketball goals are nearly accurate
Stewie’s mom found an old list of goals she made so we checked up on it!
Breanna Stewart is one of the most decorated players in women’s basketball history. She was the Gatorade Player of the Year in high school as well as a McDonald’s All-American. She led UConn to four straight national championships while also being named the Final Four’s Most Outstanding Player all four years. She also was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2016 WNBA Draft, won Rookie of the Year, and made her first all-star game in only her second year in the league.
She is good.
Stewie, as they call her, is more accomplished at 22 years old than most of us ever will be. No wonder this list of basketball #goals she found from her childhood are so outrageous.
My mom found this in one of my old notebooks from when I was younger lol... #Goals pic.twitter.com/pJX3LJs4B4

Let’s check in on these #goals, shall we?
Shoot at least 80 percent on free throws
She’s currently shooting 81.5 percent for her WNBA career, which meets the first goal. She also set a UConn record her sophomore year for making 147 free throws in a single season.

Score 20 points a game
Stewart recently had a string of 12 consecutive games scoring 20 or more points, which tied a single season record set by Diana Taurasi in 2006. Perfect time to show off the step-back jumper.

DOING JUST FINE ON THIS ONE!
Status: COMPLETE
Get 25 blocks in a game and average 12-13 blocks a game
I appreciate the ambition from young Stewie here. Her career high in blocks for a game is six, which is pretty freaking good. Especially when they look like this. I declare this goal also complete.

Status: Complete by default
Get a triple-double in all of her games
Extra points here for clarifying that she wants it in points, blocks, and rebounds. But young Stewie must remember that even Mr. Triple-Double himself, Russell Westbrook, didn’t even average a a triple-double until his ninth year in the league. There is still time for this one to come true.
Status: Still in progress but Russell Westbrook has paved the way for such greatness.
Grab 15 rebounds a game
She averages just over eight boards a game, but her high for the 2017 season is 15 rebounds. Her career high is 17 rebounds. In my book, she’s checking this off the list too.
Status: Complete
At only 22 years old and her second year in the WNBA, the future is so bright for Stewart. This list is incredible and so is she. Make sure to watch the Seattle Storm as they finish out their season and make a push for the playoffs in September.
