This here Bama vs. FSU hype video will have you immediately ready for the 2017 season
The biggest opening game in the sport’s history doesn’t need much more HYPE, but here’s some anyway.
New season. New stadium. New GOAT.

Alabama vs. Florida State (Sept. 2, 8 p.m. ET, ABC) at Atlanta’s new demented colossus of a stadium is set to be the biggest Week 1 game in the history of college football.
That’ll almost certainly be true based on the rankings alone — expect Bama to be No. 1 and FSU to be top three in the preseason AP Poll, which would be the highest-ranked Week 1 opponent for a No. 1 team ever, SB Nation discovered back in January — in addition to the two large fan bases, various storylines, and the obscene setting that’ll also serve as the home of this year’s National Championship.
That game poster in the background of this video’s intro is a welcome change of pace from the Photoshoppy, Twitter-recruiting-edit posters most institutions use these days:
The game’s already sold out, and so is its follow-up, Georgia Tech vs. Tennessee on Labor Day. The Tide are touchdown favorites, coming off a close loss in January’s Playoff to FSU’s division rival, Clemson. Jimbo Fisher and his former boss, Nick Saban, are now two of the only four active head coaches to have won FBS championships, along with Dabo Swinney and Urban Meyer.
