De’Aaron Fox wasn’t happy he won’t get to play against Lonzo Ball

0

Us too, De’Aaron. Us too.

During the NBA’s pre-draft process, one of the biggest “knocks” against Lonzo Ball in the “debate” over whether he or De’Aaron Fox were the better draft prospect was how Fox had outscored Ball in both of their match-ups in college.

It was a dumb debate, but coming off of Ball’s triple-double in his second game of Las Vegas Summer League in the Los Angeles Lakers’ loss to the Boston Celtics Saturday, Monday’s showdown with Fox’s Sacramento Kings loomed as one of the more intriguing games of the tournament.

That match-up was not to be, however, with Ball being declared out of Monday’s game as the Lakers exercise caution with his lingering groin injury.

In a now-deleted tweet Fox sent right after news of Ball’s injury, it appeared he wasn’t thrilled that he wouldn’t be getting a chance to go at his fellow highly-touted point guard one more time in Las Vegas:

Trust us, De’Aaron, we’re facepalming too that we won’t get to watch Ball one more time as well. Instead, Fox will go up against the rest of the leftover Lakers at 7:30 PT in Las Vegas at the Thomas and Mack Center.
