LSU dugout celebrates first run of College World Series game with sit-ups

0

Sometimes, you just gotta get that core work in.

LSU and Florida State are buckled in for what will hopefully become another nasty, all-time memorable game, but the early going doesn’t appear to put us on that track. The Tigers are perhaps more than angry after getting slaughtered by Oregon State on Monday night, 13-1, in a game that required a full eight LSU pitchers before the night was done.

So here are the Tigers in the top of the second inning, working buildups around the bases and scoring runs in every fashion available to the game of baseball. LSU’s big bat Greg Deichmann got on base following his hard slap into right, then Josh Smith came up two batters later and sent him home on a right field single to score the club’s first run.

But let’s pause here to marvel at the Tigers’ dugout celebration, specifically outfielder Chris Reid, who decides to get some crunches in for his guys.

Hard work on the field, hard work off the field — fitness never takes a day off.

LSU proceeded to drive in four more runs in the inning — including a three-run homer from Jake Slaughter — and they currently hold a 5-0 lead over FSU.
