NBA Finals live stream: How to watch Warriors vs. Cavs Game 4 online

0

We could be watching history with Golden State vying for the first 16-0 postseason.

The Golden State Warriors have a chance to become the first team to ever finish a postseason run undefeated. That’s a big deal.

The closest anyone has ever got was 2001, when the Los Angeles Lakers swept through the league and lost only once, in Game 1 of the NBA Finals on the back of Allen Iverson’s 46 points in overtime. The Lakers rattled off four straight wins after that.

The 1983 Philadelphia 76ers also went 12-1 — back when there were just three rounds — while the 1992 Bulls lost just twice. But no one has ever gone undefeated, not until the Warriors have a chance in Game 4.

It speaks to a lot. One is the Warriors’ luck — they would have lost Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals without Kawhi Leonard’s injury, and possibly could have struggled more in that series in general. Likewise, Jusuf Nurkic was injured in the first round while George Hill played just one game in the second.

However, this Warriors team also could be called the best team we’ve ever seen. Really. Having four All-Stars on the roster is nearly unprecedented, plus two of them are the two most recent MVPs. If they win on Friday, it’ll cement their place in league history.

Game 4 will be played at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.

Here’s how you can stream it.

ABC is an over-the-air network. As such, you can access it for free with an over-the-air digital antenna, provided you live close enough to an ABC affiliate to pick up a signal. (Check that here.) You will need to buy an antenna, which starts around $25 for low-feature versions and goes up to about $150 for fancier models.

If you opt for Sling Orange, you can forgo the over-the-air antenna and get Sling’s ABC add-on for $5 per month. It would likely depend on what access to other over-the-air networks (NBC, CBS, PBS) you’d want.

You can also use your Sling or Vue credentials to log into the Watch ESPN service, on which you can access live ABC sporting events, including the Finals.

Certain markets will also allow ABC streaming through your cable provider, in case you’re not near your television. Here’s information from ABC’s official site.

The ABC live stream is currently available in the following markets: Chicago, Fresno, Houston, Los Angeles, New York City, Philadelphia, Raleigh-Durham and San Francisco with a participating TV provider. Customers with a DirecTV subscription in the following markets will also be able to watch the ABC live stream: Albuquerque, Boston, Ft. Smith/Fayetteville, Jackson (Mississippi), Kansas City, Milwaukee, Monterey-Salinas, Oklahoma City, Omaha, Pittsburgh, Portland-Auburn (Maine), Savannah and West Palm Beach.
