Five-star guard Deron Rippey Jr. trims to five schools

Five-star guard Deron Rippey Jr. is down to five schools.

Rippey Jr., the consensus No. 1 point guard in the Class of 2026, is now considering Duke, N.C. State, Miami, Tennessee and Texas.

The Blair Academy and New Heights floor general cut Kentucky, North Carolina, Louisville and Syracuse from his previous list of nine.

“There is no timetable set [for an announcement],” Deron Rippey Sr said. “[We are in] no rush.”
