The Saints are 15-12 overall, 12-7 in the MAAC, a game behind second-place Saint Peter’s. A win over the Golden Griffins combined with a Saint Peter’s loss to Fairfield would give Siena the No. 2 seed, based on its head-to-head sweep of the Peacocks.
If Siena is the No. 2 seed, the Saints will open the tournament in a quarterfinal at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday and, should they win, would have a day off before Friday’s semifinals. The No. 3 seed would put the Saints in a 7 p.m. quarterfinal on Thursday.
