Bob Curley was behind-the-scenes supporter of Siena basketball

Siena held a moment of silence for Curley prior to Thursday’s “Pink Zone” women’s basketball game for breast cancer awareness. It was mentioned that Curley was an early supporter of the game, which has raised more than $200,000 over 21 editions.

Curley, who served on the Siena board of trustees, was a member of the search committee in 1997, when the school hired Paul Hewitt over a group of candidates that included future Saints coach Fran McCaffery.
