GIRLS’ TEAM OF THE WEEK | Eagles clinch fourth straight SAC crown

Lanesville won its 19th and 20th straight Southern Athletic Conference games and its fourth consecutive SAC title with a pair of wins last week.

The Class A No. 1 Eagles improved to 17-1 and 5-0 in the conference (for the fourth straight year) by beating rival South Central 82-5 and Crothersville 81-12 last week.

The Eagles have won 13 games in a row. They go to Class A No. 8 Trinity Lutheran (11-5) on Tuesday, Rock Creek (7-6) on Thursday and Eastern (10-7) on Saturday as they look to continue gaining momentum heading into February as one of the favorites in Class A.
