[Williamson] Colton Fox Represents Williamson at Widener University Outdoor Track Meet

After an outstanding freshman cross-country season, Williamson freshman runner Colton Fox (FR/Higgins, PA) decided he wanted to continue running in the off-season.  With that in mind, he actually represented Williamson in an indoor track meet at Haverford College in January.  Turns out, he liked that so much he decided to keep going and represented Williamson at the 2017 Widener University Outdoor Invitational meet this past weekend. 

Fox actually ran in two races at the meet.  He ran the 5,000 meter event on Fridya night and the 1,500 meter event on Saturday.   His time in the 5,000 meter race was 17.34 while his time in the 1,500 meter races was 4:43.

"While not where he wants to be, both races were solid times for his first event of the year," said Williamson cross county coach, and now de facto outdoor track coach, Steve Hixson.    

"It is great to see someone who wants to run and who wants to compete and get better.  Colton is a pleasure to coach and we hope to get him in several more events this Spring."
