The president of the Puerto Rico Baseball Federation has not ruled out a last-minute addition of Francisco Lindor to their WBC roster, per Just Baseball, as originally reported by primerahora.

Arrangements are being made with a private insurer to get Lindor covered, with approval still needed from MLB and the Mets.

Former Met Dillson Herrera has retired from baseball, as announced by La Flecha Noticias. Over his two seasons with the Mets, Herrera slashed .215/.308/.383 with six home runs and 17 RBIs. He will transition to the role of manager in the Guardians system.
