Four teams remain in contention as WBSC announces Super Round schedule for WBSC U-18 Women’s Softball World Cup Finals

The WBSC U-18 Women’s Softball World Cup Finals is now down to four teams, as world No. 1 Japan, No. 2 USA, No. 7 China and No. 8 Mexico qualified for the Super Round and will battle head-to-head over the next two days at Devon Park.

The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) announced the Super Round schedule following the conclusion of the Opening Round. All teams carry over their Opening Round head-to-head results into the next stage. As a result, USA and Japan begin on top of the standings at 1-0, while China and Mexico start at 0-1.

Schedule & Results

The Super Round will open on Monday with China facing Mexico at 16:00, followed by the highly anticipated clash between USA and Japan at 19:00.

The top two finishers after the Super Round will meet for the world title on Wednesday, 1 October, at 14:00. The third- and fourth-place teams will play for bronze earlier that day at 11:00.

In the Placement Round, No. 3 Puerto Rico, No. 4 Canada, No. 5 Chinese Taipei and No. 11 Czechia will compete for positions five through eight.
