Mets Minors Recap: Sproat Shines, Raley Continues Scoreless Rehab

0 2

Brandon Sproat was magnificent on Saturday. The 24-year-old from Peniscola struck out six over six scoreless innings. It was a much-needed confidence boost for the New York Mets’ top pitching prospect, who had allowed 10 earned runs in his last three starts while walking eight batters in that span.

Meanwhile, Brooks Raley continued his rehab assignment, with High-A Brooklyn, tossing another scoreless outing. Additionally, notably, A.J. Ewing stole his 50th base of the season, between the Single-A and High-A levels.
