Morning Briefing: Mets Drop Third Straight Game
Good morning, Mets fans!
The Mets dropped their third straight game with a 2-0 loss to the Red Sox, falling to 29-20 and slipping to a full game out of first in the NL East. They’ve scored just three runs total over their last three games and haven’t topped three runs in a game since May 12. The offense is in a serious slump and needs to wake up fast. Alexis Farinacci has a more in-depth recap of Tuesday’s game here.
The team will try to salvage one against the Sox today at 6:45 p.m. ET. Tylor Megill (3-4, 3.74 ERA) will look to bounce back from a few tough outings, and he faces off against Red Sox ace Garrett Crochet (4-3, 2.00 ERA).
