Malaysia, Singapore & Thailand gear up for SEA Games 2025 with men's and women's softball President Cup

On 19 and 20 April, the men's and women's national softball teams of Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand will compete in the President Cup, a preparatory event ahead of the South East Asia (SEA) Games Thailand 2025, to be staged from 9 to 20 December.

The President Cup will take place at University Technology Malaysia (UTM) in Skudai, Johor, Malaysia.

The top two teams in each category will advance to the finals on Sunday, where they will compete for the gold medal.

The men’s competition will feature World No. 13 Singapore, No. 36 Thailand, and host nation Malaysia. The women’s event will include No. 39 Singapore, No. 52 Thailand, and Malaysia.

Schedule

  • 08:00 - Men: MAS vs SGP
  • 09:30 - Women: MAS vs SGP
  • 11:00 - Men: THA vs SGP
  • 12:30 - Women: THA vs SGP
  • 14:00 - Men: MAS vs THA
  • 15:40 - Women: MAS vs THA

The women's event final is scheduled for Sunday at 8:00, followed by the men's final at 10:10.

The SEA Games Thailand 2025 will take place from 3 to 19 December in Thailand. The Softball competition will be held at Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi in Bangkok. Men's Baseball and Baseball5 will also be part of the programme.

Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor Leste and Vietnam are the member National Olympic Committees (NOCs) of the South East Asian Games Federation.
