0 2

The Baltimore Orioles beat the Cleveland Guardians 9-1 on Wednesday night. The festivities started in the second inning with a Jackson Holliday grand slam homerun to center field. Holliday shot his wad in the second inning to finish 1 for 4 with a grand slam homerun, 1 run scored and 1 RBI on the night.

It wasn’t a quality start but Dean Kremer (2-2) gave the Orioles a solid performance, allowing 1 run, on a Gabriel Arias homerun in the third inning, on 4 total hits with a walk and two strikeouts over 5.1 innings. Kremer was credited with the win, his second of the year.

In the top of the sixth, wth runners on first and second and two outs, Heston Kjerstad made a diving catch, preventing a Guardian’s rally. Kjerstad also went 1 for 4 with a run scored and 2 RBI from the plate.

Ramon Laureano (1 for 3, HR, R, RBI) hit his first homerun as an Oriole in the seventh inning and Ryan O’Hearn (2 for 3, HR, R, RBI, BB) went bridge in the eighth.

Cedric Mullins went 1 for 2 with a double, 2 runs scored and 2 walks.

Ramon Urias went 0 for 2 with 1 run scored, 1 RBI and a walk.

The bullpen kept Cleveland off the board and Keegan Akin struck out two in the ninth to close out the win.
