Morning Briefing: Red Sox a “Preferred Destination” for Arenado
Good morning, Mets fans!
Chris Cotillo and Sean McAdam of MassLive reported Sunday that the Red Sox are a preferred destination for Nolan Arenado. The eight-time All-Star and 10-time Gold Glover blocked a trade to the Astros earlier in the offseason. Cotillo adds that there is a strong belief in the industry that Triston Casas is available in trade talks. Red Sox general manager Craig Breslow said in December that the team isn’t looking to trade the 24-year-old.

The Royals have signed utilityman Cavan Biggio to a minor league contract. Biggio spent time with the Blue Jays, Dodgers and Braves in 2024, posting a .197/.314/.303 batting line over 234 plate appearances.
