I didn’t watch this one - Twins 5, Rays 4

I’ll be honest, it was a holiday weekend and to cap it off I had to subjugate myself to either Florida State losing or the Rays losing.
For my own sanity, I chose to watch Junior Bake Off with my seven year old instead, but here are some quick highlights from Rocco’s Modern Twins. Littell was pitching and had a rough go of it, but this ended a one run game so it was closer than I expected!
- Dylan Carlson - who was batting fifth behind the red hot Josh Lowe, and feels right for this roster - hit a two-run single to right field in the first inning.
- Junior Caminero - who seems comfortable batting second or third in the lineup, and mostly third if Brandon Lowe is there - doubled that Dawg home to keep the game close in the third
- Jonny DeLuca had a solo moonshot in the eighth on an inside pitch that lofted to the blue seats
- Taylor Walls got robbed a triple after he wasn’t able to get a meatball down the middle up and over the fence.
- Twins closer Jhoan Duran had to face 1-2-3 in the Rays lineup and had no issue, with the game ending on this questionable full count check swing by Junior Caminero.
Hope you enjoyed the holiday, now get to work!
