[FRND] Falcons announce addition of Young Student-Athlete Alumni award

WICHITA, Kan. – The Friends University athletic department is excited to announce the creation of a new Young Student-Athlete Alumni award. 

This award is designated to recognize young alumni, under the age of 35, who have had a significant impact and demonstrated significant success in their profession and communities.  One or two recipients will be honored each year at the Athletic Hall of Fame Banquet.

"We are excited to have an opportunity to formally recognize some of our impressive young alumni each year," said Dr. Rob Ramseyer, Friends University VP of Athletics and Strategic Expansion.  "We have so many out there doing great things that we felt it was important to find a formal way to recognize them.  We are looking forward to welcoming our first winners of this award back to campus over Homecoming Weekend next fall." 

Nomination Criteria:

1. Must be under the age of 35 and a graduate of Friends University

2. Must have competed in athletics for two or more years

3. Has made a significant impact and/or demonstrated significant success in their profession and/or communities since graduation.
