Chinese Taipei’s solid hitting game started early, enabling
them to mount a huge 17-run lead, with three of the homers being scored at the
top of the first inning.

But it was an overall great effort by the hosts as their
players were clinical and pounded on every opportunity to hit the home plate,
until finally India got their break with two outs to end the frame when two Chinese
Taipei runners left early.

Solid pitching anchored by Yi-Chieh Lee and I-Ying Shih gave
the Indian batters to start on their offence. However, India managed to contain
the binge runs from their opponents, with only the three home runs being
recorded in the last two frames.
