[Men's Golf] Rio 5th after first round of Merb Invitational

    McDERMOTT, Ohio - Logan Sheets fired a 1-over par 73 to fuel the University of Rio Grande men's golf team in Monday's opening round of the Roger Merb Invitational hosted by Shawnee State University at the Elks Country Club.
    Sheets, a senior from Bidwell, Ohio, finished the day in a tie for seventh place among individuals in the 45-player field. He helped the RedStorm's "A" team finish fifth among the eight competing squads with a team total of 15-over par 303.
    Rio Grande also fielded a "B" team, which placed eighth after recording a team total of 48-over par 336.
